Up for sale is a beautiful, highly authentic 19th-century Civil War era ninth-plate portrait photograph depicting an elegant seated woman.

This historic image is beautifully framed within an intricate, ornate stamped brass preserver mat and retains its inner wooden/leather tracking borders. The upper edge of the frame features its original small metal loop hook, which historically locked into the outer protective case cover (please note: the outer protective case cover is no longer present; this listing includes the complete inner framed photo tray as pictured).
